BOOKING

A 30% deposit and signed service agreement is required to confirm your booking and chosen package.
The deposit is non-refundable. The remaining 70% is due 7 days before your shoot date.

Rescheduling your shoot within 10 working days of the agreed date will incur a £300 fee to compensate for the loss of the date as I only have a limited amount of bookings available in the month.

CANCELLATION

Cancellations within 10 days of the shoot date will forfeit 100% of the total shoot fee.

Cancellations within 11-15 days days of the shoot date will forfeit 75% of the total shoot fee.

Cancellations within 15-21 days of the shoot date will forfeit 50% of the total shoot fee.

Any other cancellations will forfeit the deposit as the deposit is non-refundable.

If you have booked a makeup artist she will have her own reschedule and cancellation policies.

Bad-weather days when it is very windy and/or raining (or forecasted to) on an outdoor shoot day will be the exception.
Rain, cameras and freshly applied makeup and blowdried hair are not a great combination and do not make good photos.

It will be up to Yolande to make the decision to reschedule your photo-shoot to a date that is agreeable to all parties, including the makeup artist (if you have booked one), and the location/studio (if you have booked one).

SHOOT LOCATIONS

Yolande will happily travel to the client's home or business address if photographing the client in their home, studio or business.

Other ideas for locations are:

A friend’s lovely home
Airbnb
Location Houses
Cafe’s
Members Clubs with prior permission
Photography Studios
Co-working spaces (with prior permision)
Hotel Suites - larger space that includes a sofa and/and or table for variety, and great natural window light.

It is up to the client to arrange locations in advance and to pay any booking fees that may be required.
The applies for acquiring any special permissions or permits that may be needed.

Clients will be required to source and provide any specialist locations (ie. hospitals, building site, boats etc) when required-
A location finder fee starting at £300 is applicable if you require me to source specialist locations.
Any bespoke and specialist locations will need to be booked by and paid for directly by the client. This includes a separate agreement with the location provider. Please check their Covid cancellation policies.

TRAVEL

Travel is included within London and East Sussex until end of 2023.
Travel to Kent and West Sussex is a flat fee of £35.
Travel to other area will be quoted per case and costed at 45p per mile or the train fare.
Tolls are not included.
Parking Costs are not included.
Congestion Charge (if applicable) is not included.
For shoots that are more than 4 hours travel one way, overnight accommodation will be required.
Overnight accommodation is not included and will be billed to client.

PROFESSIONAL HAIR & MAKEUP

If you would like professional dry hair styling & makeup I can recommend a fantastic makeup artist (HMUA) who will come to you. The cost of HMUAs start roughly at £140.

SHOOT PREPARATION

Please prepare for your shoot.

Please have a selection of outfits ready for us to choose your final looks.

When on location, I suggest you transport your outfits in a suit bag to prevent creasing.

Iron/steam your chosen outfits - creases in clothing are extremely hard to remove in Photoshop, and may need to be worked on by a specialist at an extra cost to you.

Have your hair coloured and roots touched up 2 weeks before your shoot.

If you are not confident in doing your own hair and makeup then I highly recommend you book a professional who will provide you with a seamless look.

If we are photographing you in your home, studio or workspace, then think about a tidy space and please prepare by tidying away all clutter.

You will be sent my Shoot Prep Guide upon booking.

IMAGE PROOFS

After the shoot a selection of PROOF images will be presented in a secure online gallery for you to make your choices.

PROOF images will be watermarked.

Your proofing gallery will be available to view within 7 working days of the shoot.

Your online proof gallery will be live and available for 30 days.
Your image choices must be made within these 30 days, after which the gallery will close down and will require a £40 admin charge to reinstate for 14 days at a time.

Your final chosen images will be post-processed and delivered as a digital download without watermarks.

IMAGE CHOICES

Once you have finished making your selection via Pixieset by using the 'send your favourites to the photographer' button/function.
Your selection will be considered final and binding, and your image choices cannot be changed or swapped out after you press send.
If you change your mind you will need to pay £35 for each of your new image choices.

POST PRODUCTION & RETOUCHING

Colour corrections and individual editing of final images is included.
Retouching is not included.

Any extra retouching starts at £14.50 which will be charged separately according to the difficulty and complexity.

Paid retouching can include skin work, body morphing, removing braces from teeth, bra straps creeping out from under tops, fluffy dust and lint, wardrobe malfunctions and replacing/removing objects from the frame.

Retouching will add additional days/time to your image delivery date.

Makeup malfunctions such as worn off lipstick and uneven eyeliner cannot be rectified in Photoshop.

Fabric creases can possibly be softened but not removed in Photoshop - please iron or steam your clothes before the shoot, and hang or pack the items thoughtfully.

Yolande takes great care with the look and feel of the images during post production and retains creative license.
Please think before you try to add any Instagram filters to your images.

IMAGE DELIVERY

RAW or unedited image files are not included nor are they for sale.
It is not my policy to deliver or release unedited images.

Please do not take, share or post screenshots of your proof gallery on the Internet or on your social media accounts.

You will receive your images as high-resolution and web-size jpegs in the Adobe RGB colour profile.
It is your (or your book publisher/printer) responsibility to make further changes such as cropping or changing the image’s colour profile.

Additional images (on top of the images included in your package) are available to purchase for 12 months after the shoot.

Full cleared payment required before images are released.

IMAGE USAGE LICENSE

You are purchasing the high resolution digital images with a perpetual license for use for PR, on social media and your website.  

If you require the 'Exclusive Rights' to an image, or if the image is for use as Book Cover/Sleeves, Merchandise, Agency Advertising, Periodicals, Magazine Editorials or Billboards - please contact me to purchase the appropriate license.

Images for commercial and editorial usage will require Image Licensing depending on its intended use, as well as a credit.

Book covers and sleeves require an Image usage fee depending on the print run, print languages, countries your book will be released in, and renewed at every new edition. The cover image, back cover image and interior sleeve images all have their own costs and license. Please email me for a quote.

COPYRIGHT

By the rights asserted in accordance with sections 77 and 78 of Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, Yolande De Vries Photography retains the entire copyright in all the images created by Yolande De Vries Photography at all times throughout the world. Yolande De Vries asserts both her moral right to be identified as the author of her work and the right to a credit.

IMAGE OUTTAKES

Yolande De Vries reserves the right to edit, post process and use images on her website and social media from any shoot that have not made it into your final selections and the final edit.
